I am from another part of the world: The Netherlands, a small country with big ambitions. With a lot of people, who have big ambitions. People who like to work with their hands. Sometimes - like Hans Brinker's - to put a thumb in the dike to prevent a flood of water; sometimes to put the finger into the air to preach principles and morality to the world.
I am one of them.
During my life I had ample opportunity to learn. Famous international business schools, the theories of the Peters' , the Goldratt's, the Covey's - people as institutes, who could reflect, verbalize and convince beautifully -, all second hand knowledge; I took it all. In my leisure time I studied the classical philosophers: Nietzsche, Kant and Kierkegaard.
All this knowledge I used in my daily work as a business consultant.
I am 60 years old and I really think that I have seen, heard and experienced a lot personally and business wise; hey man, I was there. By coincidence (does that exist?) I ran into Master class 1, into Marc Steinberg. I was puzzled and awed. I tried to compare his visions with the famous philosopher's writings.
In my daily practice I hear often someone saying: "Yes, that's the way things go, nothing can be done about it". Do you respond in the same way? Is this the way, that in a fraction of a second you are placing responsibilities outside yourself? Are it always others on your path to disrupt your luck?
Immanuel Kant says, that two philosophical views have to be rejected resolutely: The one is the view of the dogmatic - he or she who believes frivolously- and the other is the view of the skeptic - he or she who rejects frivolously-. In my opinion these are beautiful points of view, but with rare practical impact. In our society though they are the main reasons why somebody cannot be happy or cannot bring change upon his situation. CCI goes beyond Kant and does bring practical solutions. That's better!
The teachings of Marc Steinberg are in accordance with the words of the present day philosopher Ken Wilber. He writes in "Without Boundaries ":
'Change, say it a couple of times to yourself;
- I have a body, but I am not my body
- I have desires, but I am not my desires
- I have emotions, but I am not my emotions
- I have thoughts, but I am not my thoughts
I am what remains, a pure core of consciousness, a untouched, unruffled witness of all those thoughts, emotions, feelings and desires.'
Frederick Nietzsche - the persistent criticaster of dogmatic thinking - claims consistently, that we do not do justice to the ambiguous reality of the individual, if we do not take the social context into consideration. Moreover, he stipulates that we enforce excessive violence to a person, if we exclude him from personal and individual responsibility.
The courses of Marc Steinberg clearly are grounded in those two philosophers.
Still, I felt rejection at the comparison with second hand knowledge. It seems like a scam, whereas Marc Steinberg invites his audience to stop with inhaling second hand knowledge: I experienced that my own Being, my Word and my Act are the most important for me and my environment. I also learned that outside my comfort zone I encounter the most beautiful things.
Those experiences from all the Master classes go beyond the philosophers and beyond second handedness.
For business and organizations the insights of CCI are extremely useful and valuable. The translation of personal identity to business identity has given me the insight who business changes and mergers go wrong so very often.
In business consultancy it is all about 'money and funds'. In that manner we went on to look at people and their possibilities; so, companies now have a Human Resource department. And we use these resources as though they were coal, chemicals or plastics. We need these materials, so we keep the coals dry, the chemicals well stored and the people content.
In pursuance of the CCI Master Courses I stretched the concept of Cradle-to-Cradle (Braungart & McDonough) to fit to human talent. C2C tells us that we have to leave the world in a better state than we encountered. My consultancy firm is doing exactly that, for human talent. In the development of people the CCI concept is invaluable. I really appreciated that and created a new business approach. And suddenly Human Resources is turned into Human Performance Creators; and my customers are inspired!
About the relationship with the customer, the commissioners, the stakeholders, the colleagues, the competitors is said and written and trained and teached a lot. In the relationship to our selves, the universe or the Creation we speak little...
Thank God, there is CCI.

Feel more solid in what I have to offer and can see the way out of what felt like quicksand. I was able to get in touch with my gut-level response to money in a way that enables me to transform that relationship easily and in a fun way. This course would benefit everybody I know - especially entrepreneurs.
